1. Introduction

What is MinbarLive?

MinbarLive is a SaaS platform that enables real-time translation of sermons, lectures, and podcasts into 100+ languages. It uses advanced speech-to-text and AI translation technology to allow audiences to follow content in their own language—directly on their mobile phone or computer.

Who is it intended for?

  • Mosques and Islamic centers — translation of Friday sermons for multilingual communities

  • Imams and Khatibs — reaching a wider audience without language barriers

  • Islamic organizations — translation of lectures, seminars, conferences

  • Podcast creators —subtitle podcast episodes in multiple languages

  • Diaspora community — following sermons from the homeland in the local language

How does it work?

  2. MinbarLive listens —real-time speech-to-text Deepgram STT

  3. AI translations —text is instantly translated into all selected languages OpenAI GPT-4o

  4. Audience reading —each listener sees a translation in their chosen language on their phone

The admin interface is available in 9 languages English, Bosnian/Croatian, German, Arabic, Turkish, French, Spanish, Russian and Albanian. The language can be changed in the settings.


2. Getting started

Registration

  1. Go to app.minbarlive.com/signup

  2. Enter your email address and password

  3. Fill in the name of your organization, mosque, center, etc.

  4. Confirm your email address via the link you will receive

  5. Your account will be reviewed and approved by the team

Login

  1. Open app.minbarlive.com/login

  2. Enter email and password.

  3. After logging in, you will be redirected to the dashboard.

First configuration

After the first application, we recommend

  1. Organization→Profile — enter the full name, address and contact information of the mosque

  2. Organization→Branding —upload your organization's logo

  3. Settings→Defaults — select the default source language, eg Bosnian, target languages for translations

  4. Organization→Modules —check which modules are activated for your account

 


3. Dashboard

Overview

The dashboard displays a quick overview of your activity

  • Total number of sessions —how many sermons/podcasts you have broadcasted

  • Languages —which languages are most commonly used

  • Recent activity —recent sessions and their status

Activity

Detailed view of all activities on your account—sessions, translations, Studio processing.

Alerts

System notifications about important events—expired sessions, errors, billing notifications.


4. HutbaLive — Live translation of sermons

HutbaLive is the main module for translation of sermons in real time .

Starting a new session

  1. Open HutbaLive→Active Session or click Quick Action on the dashboard

  2. Configure session

    1. 2.1.
      Original language — the language I speak, eg Bosnian

      2.2.
      Language mode —Single one language or Mixed I speak two languages, e.g. Arabic+Bosnian

      2.3.
      STT engine —Streaming recommended for Live or Batch sermons

  3. AI context prompt optional

    1. 3.1.
      Select preset —select a previously saved prompt that provides context to the translator

      3.2.
      Write your own — write a free description of the session, eg Sermon on Patience, Imam will quote Surah Al-Baqara

      3.3.
      Refine with AI —click to automatically refine your text into the optimal translation prompt

      3.4.
      Save to Gallery —save the prompt for future use

  4. Click Start Session

  5. The session has started. The audience can join via the link.

Sharing a link with your audience

  • Each session has a public link to join app.minbarlive.com/join/session-id

  • You can share the link via

    • QR code displayed on the mosque screen

    • WhatsApp/Viber/SMS messages

    • Announcements on the website of the mosque

  • Audiences don't need an account —they simply open the link on their phone

Live session tracking

While the session lasts

  • See the transcript in real time

  • Track how many audiences are connected

  • You can see translations in all languages

End of session

  • Click End Session when the sermon is over.

  • The session is automatically archived.

  • A transcript and summary are generated

  • View all past and current sessions

  • Filtering by date, status, language

  • Clicking on a session opens a detailed overview with transcript and statistics

Archive

  • Search by keywords

  • Overview of summaries and SEO tags

  • Access to the complete transcript in all languages

Quranic mode

MinbarLive automatically recognizes when the imam is reciting the Quran and uses authentic, stored translations instead of AI translations. This ensures complete accuracy of Quranic verses.

  • Automatic detection — the system itself recognizes the Arabic Quranic text and switches to stored translations

  • Manual Quran mode — can be turned on in the session configuration for pure Quran sessions on cable, learning

  • Quran translations are available in 40+ languages

Audience feedback

After the session is over, the audience can leave a quick rating

  • Star rating 1-5

  • Yes/No questions about translation quality

  • The results are visible in the session details

 


5. Podcast Companion — Subtitles for live podcasts

Podcast Companion enables real-time subtitling of livestream podcasts in multiple languages.

Starting a podcast session

  1. Open Podcast Companion→Sessions→New

  2. Enter YouTube/Facebook livestream URL or use audio input

  3. Select the source language and target languages

  4. Start a session

6. Studio — Video post-production

The Studio module allows adding subtitles to existing videos — sermons, lectures, seminars.

Upload video

  1. Open Studio→Upload

  2. Select a video file or paste the URLYouTube,Facebook,Vimeo,Rumble,Twitter,LinkedIn,Dailymotion

  3. Select the source language and target languages for translation

  4. Click Upload—processing starts automatically

KhutbaAsistent is an AI tool that helps imams prepare sermons using a knowledge base of Islamic sources.

  1. Open Sermon Assistant→New Draft

  2. Describe the topic of the sermon or choose from the suggested topics

14. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How many languages does MinbarLive support?

Over 100 languages for translations. Native languages for speech include Bosnian, Arabic, English, German, Turkish and others.

Does the audience need to install the app?

No. The audience simply opens the link in the web browser on the phone. No installation or registration is required.

Does MinbarLive use AI to translate the Quran?

No. For Quranic verses, only stored, verified translations from recognized translators are used, e.g. Besim Korkut for Bosnian, Sahih International for English. AI is not used to translate the Quran.

How do I share the link with the audience?

The easiest way is the QR code—project it on the screen/screen in the mosque. You can also send the link via WhatsApp, post on the website or social networks.

How much do translations cost?

Costs depend on subscription plan and usage volume. Detailed prices are available in the Billing→Plans section.

Can I use MinbarLive for conferences and seminars?

Yes. MinbarLive can translate any speech content live, not only sermons.

What if the internet connection drops during a session?

The session automatically resumes when the connection is restored. The audience will see the Reconnecting...status and will automatically reconnect.

How do I change the interface language?

On the login page or in settings—select your preferred language from the drop-down menu.

Is session data retained?

Yes. All transcripts, translations and statistics are permanently stored in your archive.
